About the Author

Ida Vance retired after 25 years as a Corporate Administrator for a Fortune 500 Company.  She became deeply entrenched in the broader community with decades of loyal, productive service in her neighborhood.  For fun she loves Bid Whiz and Ballroom dancing.

She is a graduate of Leadership Detroit XVII, a member of the Professional Woman Network and has served on the boards of several major organizations in the area. Two published articles on community safety appeared in The Detroit News, 1997-1998, and the Michigan Chronicle.
